Operation get Jax to sleep in his crib.

This post is really for my own benefit so I can track how we are doing with his sleeping.

This morning I finally for the first time let Jax cry it out a bit in his crib. It was only for about 10-15 minutes and I feel that he is old enough now to do so. He slept for one hour. Not great, but I will definitely take it. It's a start. *note he does not sleep in his crib at night so this is very new to the little man

(1:50pm) I just put him down in his crib and he screamed & hollered. I told myself to give him 10 mins and then go check on him. In less than 10 mins he was quiet. I went to check in and he was struggling to try to get his pacifier back in his mouth. This sucker  Mommy felt bad for him and helped him out. He is now quiet & slowly drifting off to dreamland with a few cries here and there. The plan is to check on him every 10 mins if he keeps crying.(2:00pm) Went in after a couple of mins and picked him up. Walked him around for about 5 mins and now he is back to sleep in his crib. (2:45) Woke up. Nursed him and he fell back asleep. Attempted putting him back down in the crib. No such luck. (8:50) He fell asleep in Daddy's arms and is now sleeping in his crib.(9:20) He only slept a half hour and now he is nursing. (10:00) He's in his crib to start off the night.

Hopefully we will be able to get the little guy on some sort of loose sleep schedule not in his swing & not being held but IN HIS CRIB.

I feel your pain! Jaden refuses to sleep anywhere but on our chest or on his boppy pillow. Neither places are exactly safe! It kills me knowing he could fall or something but the little guy screams until he's red and gasping for breath if I try to let him "cry it out". Both makes me feel like a terrible mommy...Let me know if you figure out a trick...maybe I can try it too.
