It's Always A Good Time

That may not be true 100% of the time, but there has definitely been a lot of fun going on around here which leads to more excuses of why I have not blogged in quite a while.

The Fall weather has brought plenty of adventures. Reagan's preschool had a fieldtrip to the pumpkin patch where Jax & I got to tag along for the festivities. The kids enjoyed a hay ride to go pick out a pumpkin each, rolling & playing around in corn kernels, swinging from a tree, roaming through a hay maze, climbing & sliding, & a hot chocolate treat.

MiMi came up on the train for a few days & the kiddos were eager for her arrival so they fervently worked on drawing her a picture. We stopped at our usual (on the way home from the train station) spot, Mimi's CafĂ© {so fitting, right?} for lunch.

In lieu of Halloween, the preschool kids got to dress in their costumes. They got to parade around in their outfits & collect candy from the elderly next door. Reagan came home with a HUGE bag of candy {most of it being the good kind....chocolate}. After school that day, we headed to a Halloween party at the park thrown by one of the preschool Moms. There were lots of goodies & the kiddos had a blast showing off their costumes.

We got boo-ed this year by some of my favorite people. They rang the doorbell & then quickly ran away before the kids could see who it was. I knew ahead of time, so we wouldn't be startled at 8:30 at night when they stopped by.

It was so sweet. They spent a lot of time putting together treat bags for Reagan & Jax. Each bag contained Halloween snacks, some fun princess/super hero toys, & candy. Also included was a pack to make Halloween sprinkle pancakes. Needless to say, the kiddos were thrilled.

HALLOWEEN

Halloween was spent with some dear friends at my house making Olive Garden's Zuppa Toscana. We enjoyed some festive donuts, coffee/tea, & good company.

Later in the day, I decided to join the dressing up fun & painted on a little kitty face. Once Braden got home & dinner was done, we headed over to Reagan's preschool where there were bounce houses, games, & trunk or treating. When we were all done there, we spent a good amount of time trick or treating near our church & made it in time for church services at 7:00. The munchkins made out great & it was such a fun packed evening.
